The Work
Whether in competition, in a studio, in a lecture hall or in a coaching room, the question has never really changed: how does a body learn? How does intention become physical expression?
Everything that follows, the methods, the platforms, the writing, is a different answer to that single question. One inquiry, carried through three decades of practice.

Most dancers believe they are thinking their way through a routine. In reality, the body is storing patterns long before the mind can name them. The best teachers know how to build those patterns deliberately, repetition with attention, not repetition alone.

Counting or making sounds, keeps you on the beat; anticipation lets you dance inside it. Musicality is the ability to hear what is about to happen, the breath before the phrase, the weight before the accent. That is where movement becomes conversation.

Notes · 5 min
We are trained to correct posture, but rarely trained to read it. Tension is the body’s way of speaking: about balance, breath, intention, fatigue. Once you learn its language, correction becomes guidance rather than force.
