Continuous development for those who teach.
The idea behind MasterClasses.Dance did not begin in 2023.
It grew out of a much longer journey.
In 2007, I founded the Nitsche Dance Academy.
That work later developed into the Nitsche Teacher Academy and increasingly focused on the development of teachers and coaches.
MasterClasses.Dance is a continuation of that work.
Together with Jean Dorff, I wanted to create a place where teachers and coaches could continue their professional development alongside leading experts in competitive dance and other relevant disciplines.
Today, I see my role there as mentor, teacher and guide.
After decades of developing dancers, one of the areas I enjoy most is helping coaches develop the knowledge, perspective and structure they need to guide others.
Continuous education matters because competitive dance continues to evolve.
The people teaching it must continue to evolve as well.

MasterClasses.Dance was created by Holger Nitsche and Jean Dorff as a shared platform for continuous professional development in dance.
Holger brings decades of competitive-dance experience, methodology and teaching education. Jean brings strategy, education, communication and a complementary perspective on how people learn, develop and turn expertise into something others can use.
Jean Dorff
Jean Dorff is a strategist, author and educator whose work centers on clarity, development and the translation of expertise into usable frameworks. His background spans business strategy, education, narrative work, mental coaching and dance.
